A Spectacular Sea Slug

This is a sea slug, Hermissenda opalescens. These tiny 3-5 cm long creatures look like they've landed from another planet.
The slugs are found along the eastern Pacific coast, and their glowing orange spines (which also accumulate toxins) are used to ward off predators.
