Space jellyfish after the launch of the Falcon 9 rocket (6 photos)
Early in the morning, residents spotted an unusual glowing cloud resembling a giant jellyfish in the sky over the Florida coast. It was later discovered that the spectacular phenomenon occurred after the launch of a SpaceX Falcon 9 rocket. During ascent, the rocket's exhaust gases at high altitude were illuminated by the rising sun, creating a bright "space jellyfish." Similar light effects are sometimes observed after rocket launches, but each time they attract the attention of onlookers and quickly spread on social media.
