Hungry bears broke into a restaurant in China.
In Nagchu, China, bears broke into a closed restaurant at night.
The restaurant owner, Li, said the incident occurred while he was in another city visiting relatives for the Chinese New Year. Li said he only learned of the break-in after seeing footage of the unexpected customers on social media.
Two bears are believed to have descended from the nearby mountains. They stopped in front of Li's closed restaurant. One of them stood on its hind legs and began banging on the roller shutters protecting the entrance. The shutters wouldn't budge, so the bear tried to lift them. The predator managed to lift them just enough to slip inside with the other bear.
Li said the restaurant has security cameras, but they haven't been working in recent days. He is currently unable to assess the damage the bears caused to his establishment. He suspects they plundered his meat and egg supplies.
