These small, driverless vehicles are designed to navigate narrow, dedicated lanes, completely avoiding traffic jams.
Planned trials are scheduled to begin this year, initially in four districts: Bluewaters, Umm Suqeim, Al Quoz, and Dubai Festival City.
Each capsule can accommodate 4-6 people, reach speeds of up to 50 km/h, and travel up to 250 km without recharging. According to RTA estimates, such a system can serve over 10,000 passengers per hour in one direction alone.
