Nice try: A pit bull overestimated its strength when it decided to attack a bison

In the United States, a Canadian couple's pit bull decided to attack a bison grazing peacefully near a tree line. Within seconds, the dog quickly realized its mistake, and the internet laughed heartily at the dog's behavior.

The Canadian woman recalls that she had arrived in Yellowstone National Park that day with her family. While driving through the protected area, her 14-year-old brother was filming bison that had just been fighting.

"While we were watching the bison, our dog, Mac, jumped out of the pickup truck and ran at them. My dad, Richard, tried to call him back, and you can hear my mom screaming in the video—she was yelling at my dad," the woman recalls.

She adds that Mac himself escaped with only a fright and a small cut on his chin after the encounter with the horned inhabitant of the reserve. Miranda adds that they drove on, and the family often reminisces about Mac's outburst.

"Mac decided to get between two bison fighting and ran straight at one of them, got hit in the head, and was thrown into the air. Mad dog," the Canadian noted ironically.
