These are sea bunnies—Jorunna parva. These slugs are covered in tiny "spines" that resemble fur, and rhinophores protrude from their heads like ears. The external gills on the animal's rear end resemble a tail.
You shouldn't touch these cuties. They feed on poisonous sea sponges and accumulate toxic substances in their bodies that are deadly to their enemies. Being too affectionate with them can result in at least a chemical burn.
Unlike land rabbits, sea rabbits have a more varied coloring.
The sea rabbit's "ears" are not for hearing, but for smell. They help it detect food, mating partners, and danger.
