Aerial photography used to be a privileged pursuit. Today, with professional cameras available to airline captains and ordinary passengers, this type of photography has become commonplace. Many photographers try to get a window seat when booking their tickets so that, weather permitting, they can indulge in their favorite pastime.
When we flew to Abu Dhabi, the weather wasn't great, and I didn't take a single decent photo. But on the way back, we were lucky enough to enjoy stunning views of the mountains and the surrounding countryside. Photoshop, purely by design, gave me cosmic-like colors in many of the photos. I liked them and decided to leave them that way.
We took off from Abu Dhabi, crossed the Persian Gulf, and then flew over Iran, Azerbaijan (or, if I'm mistaken, Armenia), and Georgia.
1. Near the airport, you can see local settlements.

3. Everything is very smooth, even a bit boring.
4. Turning around, we fly past the airport, unfortunately, too close.
5. The same story with the F1 track and the world's first amusement park, Ferrari World, located nearby. I consider this a shortcoming of Etihad Airways! Such beauty can't be obscured by a window; I almost had to stand up in my seat as it was.
