A cat spent more than 10 minutes in a running washing machine

A woman from China's Jiangsu Province started a wash cycle without noticing that her cat had climbed into the drum. Fortunately, there were no injuries. The cat suffered only wet fur and a red nose. The cat has since dried off and is doing perfectly well.

According to the woman, Jintiao was in the washing machine for over ten minutes. The video shows the wet, shivering animal coming out to her, its nose very red. The woman admitted she was frightened and didn't immediately pick up the cat because she didn't know if it was injured.

Two days later, she posted new videos showing Jintiao looking active and healthy. The woman promised to be more careful when using the washing machine.

However, online, she was accused of negligence and animal cruelty. Users debated whether it was appropriate to touch the cat immediately after the incident or take it to the vet immediately. Many reminded pet owners to check the drum before washing, as something similar has happened in China before, and the outcome has not always been favorable.
