The Japanese know a thing or two about minimalism and space optimization. But this apartment is cramped even by their standards. The total area of the studio is only 16 square meters, and at its narrowest point, it's less than 1.5 meters wide. Yet they managed to squeeze in a bedroom, bathroom, kitchen, and even a balcony. This luxury costs about $320 per month.
