John Travolta, the idol of millions, knew the taste of true happiness, but lost it again and again to the will of evil fate and cruel destiny.



In Their Youth

Their story began on the set of "The Bottom Line" in 1976. 22-year-old Travolta, playing the son, had to kiss 40-year-old Diana Hyland, who played his mother.

But the spark didn't fly as planned. Despite the 18-year age difference, John was enchanted. After much persuasion, Diana agreed to a date, and a romance blossomed between them.

Their happiness didn't last long. A year later, Hyland, hiding a recurrence of cancer, was hospitalized. Travolta never left her bedside, but the miracle didn't happen. In March 1977, Diana died in his arms:

Family and children—daughter Ella Bleu (2000) and son Benjamin (2010)—seemed to be his safe haven. They took special care of their eldest son, Jett (born in 1992), who was diagnosed with autism and a severe form of Kawasaki disease as a child.

John and Kelly denied these rumors, but the barrage of criticism only deepened the pain.



John and Kelly were each other's support system for almost 11 years, but a new tragedy did not spare them. In 2018, Preston was diagnosed with breast cancer. After a two-year battle, she lost her battle, and in July 2020, she passed away.
