This specialized survival course for military and civilian personnel working at sea is designed to develop muscle memory for evacuating a sinking aircraft.
The main challenge lies in helicopter physics: due to its overhead engines and transmission, it has a high center of gravity, causing it to flip upside down almost instantly in the event of an emergency landing. Training takes place in a special simulator module, which is immersed in a pool and rotated, simulating disorientation, cold, and zero visibility.
