On Mount Qixing in Zhangjiajie National Park in China's Hunan Province, there's an extreme attraction called the "Sky Staircase." It's a staircase stretched over 1,500 meters between two cliffs.
For thrill-seekers, China has a veritable stairway to heaven, stretched almost 1,500 meters above sea level. Those who want to climb it will have to conquer 278 steps. The swaying of the structure and the relatively strong winds at such a height add to the thrill.
The "Sky Staircase" is 168 meters long and runs between two cliffs at an angle of approximately 50 degrees.
The staircase is made up of eight cables, each capable of supporting a weight of 8 tons. Therefore, the creators of this unusual route assure that the attraction is completely safe.
Daredevils climb in special equipment and are strapped to the main cables with belts.
