A Brazilian social media star died after drinking homemade whiskey. The day after her 26th birthday party, Yasmim Angela Feitosa de Souza, her boyfriend, and another guest fell ill. They were hospitalized with suspected methanol poisoning.





Yasmim, who created comedy content for her 23,000 followers, died on the morning of November 12. Her boyfriend and guest are in serious condition.

On Monday, November 10, the group celebrated the girl's birthday at her home in Petrolina.



The victim's mother, Ozenilda Feitos, shared: "On Monday evening, they drank, and my son-in-law woke up feeling very ill. Yasmim, however, was in a good mood all day, joking and laughing. We went to the market with her, bought groceries, and ate lunch out. That evening, she became ill. I couldn't do anything to save my daughter."





Ozenilda said the couple bought the alcohol in a rural area near the city of São Bento do Una.

She added: "They drank about one and a half liters. The bottle containing the remains of the whiskey has been sent for analysis."

The investigation into the circumstances of the girl's death is ongoing.
