Jaguarundi - the "small puma" from Central America (6 photos)
This is what the Jaguarundi, a cat native to Central America, looks like. They are very secretive predators with well-developed vision, hearing, and smell. They live on land, but are also skilled climbers and swimmers. These cats have more than 13 different vocalizations. They can chirp, whistle, meow, growl, and even rattle—a wider range of sounds than other cats. Locals call them "whistling cats." Genetically, the Jaguarundi is a "small puma," about the size of a domestic cat.
