Skier and mountaineer Jim Morrison conquered the challenging north face of Everest, with a steepness of 40-60 degrees.
Mountaineer Jim Morrison became the first person in history to ski down the Hornbein Couloir, a route previously considered impossible.
The speed, steepness, and inclination of up to 60 degrees make this route one of the most dangerous in the world. Morrison dedicated the descent to his climbing partner, Hilary Nelson, who died during their Himalayan expedition. He scattered her ashes on the mountaintop before their descent.
The story will be part of a National Geographic documentary currently in production.
