Impressive typewriter with tens of thousands of characters

A Chinese man demonstrated a unique typewriter with a capacity of 90,000 characters. He based it on a typewriter invented in the 1940s and made a number of improvements.

This mega-design was conceived back in the 1940s by scientist Lin Yutang, who dreamed of conveniently typing in his native language: it could accommodate tens of thousands of characters, which made other Chinese typewriters cumbersome and inconvenient.

The device was groundbreaking for its time, but too complex, so it was never put into production. Now, YouTuber HTXStudio has recreated it, even making a number of improvements.
