High and low fashion news. Kim Kardashian's brand Skims has released a thong with a "hairy" effect. The collection includes 12 styles, varying in color and hair density.
The line, called Hair Panty, includes micro-thongs made of transparent stretch mesh with sewn-on artificial hair that mimics natural pubic hair.
The provocative collection is available in 12 shades and with a variety of faux hair textures. From light blonde to rich espresso, with straight, wavy, and curly hair styles.
The collection is accompanied by the caption: "With our daring new Faux Hair Panty, your 'carpet' can be any color you want." This highly ambiguous phrase became the centerpiece of the campaign.
The audience's reaction was predictably divided. Some called the project "a manifesto of humor in the era of body positivity," while others called it "trolling that no luxury brand has the courage to attempt."
The launch of the new underwear line was accompanied by a commercial filmed by Skims in the style of American quiz shows from the late 1970s. In the video, a host in a suit asks viewers if the color of the girls' "underwear" matches their hair color.
