A spider returned to its owners a year after escaping
A pet tarantula took advantage of its owner's forgetting to close the cage and escaped. The spider disappeared for a year, then reappeared at the front door.
Elaa Neira said the spider, named Bob, disappeared because of her husband. He was the tarantula's primary owner and, due to ADHD, forgot to close the cage one day. The family tried to look for him, but eventually gave up.
A year later, Neira suddenly saw Bob in the corner by the front door while she was home alone with the children. She was afraid to approach the pet tarantula until her husband returned from work. He recognized his beloved spider, picked it up from the floor, and placed it in the terrarium.
The family has no idea where their tarantula has been. To celebrate his return, Neira decorated the terrarium for Bob and urged her husband to be more attentive to him.
