New generation star: AI-created actress can replace Hollywood (6 photos + 1 video)
A young actress created by artificial intelligence is already causing controversy in the industry: fans are delighted, while actors see her as a threat to their profession. 
A scandal has erupted in Hollywood surrounding actress Tilly Norwood, who has been tipped to become "the next Scarlett Johansson or Natalie Portman." Norwood, however, doesn't exist in reality—she's an AI-generated model owned by the studio Xicoia. Nevertheless, agencies are reportedly already planning to sign Norwood, and actors and commentators have criticized the AI model. 
Norwood's creators plan to make her "the next Scarlett Johansson"
AI actress Tilly Norwood was first introduced to the public at events at the Zurich International Film Festival. Xicoia studio owner Elin van der Velden stated that talent agencies have already expressed interest in signing Norwood.
We want Tilly to become the next Scarlett Johansson or Natalie Portman; that's our main goal.

"Today, everyone is beginning to realize that creativity isn't limited by budget constraints, and artificial intelligence can play a positive role here. It's all about how you perceive it," the model's owner shared. 
According to Van der Velden, film studios and other entertainment companies continue to quietly support the development of artificial intelligence technologies in the arts. She promised that official confirmations will follow in the coming months. "Now you can create characters from photographs. Technology is advancing relentlessly," the Xicoia CEO stated.
Norwood starred in the YouTube sketch "AI Commissioner"
At the time of writing, the model's filmography includes a single comedy sketch, titled "AI Commissioner," created using artificial intelligence. The script was written by van der Velden using Chat GPT. 
The video was released on YouTube two months ago. It has garnered nearly 300,000 views and a ton of negative comments. "The worst part is that it's not funny at all," wrote one commenter.

Van der Velden's performance sparked a furious media reaction.
Journalists were outraged by the comparison of the AI model to famous actresses. Variety's Jenelle Riley called it "a demonstration of complete ignorance of the acting profession."
"Portman and Johansson are gifted performers who have spent years proving they are more than Norwood." "More than just a pretty face that can recite lines of dialogue, their greatness lies not only in talent but also in wise career decisions and adherence to their values," the journalist wrote.
The Guardian columnist Stuart Heritage jokingly suggested agencies sign "the next Tom Hanks," whom he created by drawing a face on a sock.
High-profile Hollywood actors reacted more emotionally to the appearance of a competitor. They were particularly angered by reports that some agencies were already considering signing Norwood.
"I hope all the actors represented by this agent (who plans to sign with an AI model) break up with him. It's disgusting," Mexican actress Melissa Barrera wrote on social media. Actress Kiersey Clemons demanded that the names of the agents allegedly interested in working with Tilly Norwood be publicly disclosed.
