Jensen Huang is the co-founder and CEO of Nvidia, a leader in AI chip production. In a nutshell: a Taiwanese-American billionaire with a net worth of approximately $150 billion, one of the richest people on the planet according to Forbes and Bloomberg as of September 2025.





In an interview with Channel 4 News, Huang made a surprising prediction: blue-collar jobs will be the most in-demand in the next decade. "If you're an electrician, a plumber, a carpenter, we'll need hundreds of thousands of those people to build AI factories," he said.

He's talking about data centers, "AI factories," where energy and computing merge to form the infrastructure of the future. He says the demand for skilled workers will grow exponentially: "You'll have to double, double, and double capacity every year."

Huang compared the coming boom to the Industrial Revolution of the 18th century, when manual labor became the engine of progress. Today, as AI automates office tasks, electricians, plumbers, and construction workers will be at the center of this new era. Data centers require not only servers but also wiring, cooling, and foundations—everything that physical laborers create. McKinsey analysts estimate that by 2030, global demand for such skills will grow by 30% due to AI infrastructure.



In the US, for example, the shortage of construction workers already stands at 500,000, and Nvidia predicts it will grow.
