56-centimeter Aston Martin Valkyrie rated as a real car (7 photos)
Amalgam, renowned for its precise scale replicas of rare cars and supercars, has unveiled a new addition to its lineup: a 1:8 scale model of the Aston Martin Valkyrie supercar. Prices in the UK start at £14,740, while a Dacia Sandero in one trim level is £25 cheaper.
The Aston Martin Valkyrie tabletop model was developed using the British automaker's original designs and with the participation of Aston Martin designers. It is especially noted that the finished model has received the full approval of Aston Martin itself. Approximately 3,000 man-hours were spent on the design, with an additional 300 hours spent hand-assembling each car.
Amalgam will produce only 199 examples of each Valkyrie coupe and roadster (the original supercar's production run is smaller, at just 275). The base model comes factory painted Podium Green with a black interior. However, for £20,640, a fully customized version can be ordered, including both exterior paint and interior trim.
