Dreame showed the "fastest" electric car, but only in a picture (3 photos)
At the end of August, the Chinese company Dreame, known for its robotic vacuum cleaners, announced plans to become an automaker and produce a car on par with a Bugatti. The first renderings of the upcoming new model, as reported by CarNewsChina, confirm this intention: the as-yet-unnamed electric car is very reminiscent of the Bugatti Chiron.
The Dreame project shares similarities with the French hypercar, for example, in its body silhouette with its characteristic C-shaped design, the horseshoe-shaped grille, the plastic trim on the front bumper, and a number of other details. The key difference is its increased size: judging from the photos, Dreame plans to release a sedan rather than a coupe, and therefore the company's future new model, if it goes into production in this form, will be significantly longer than the Chiron.
Bugatti had a similar project called the Galibier: it was shown as a concept in 2009, but the superliftback never went into production.
Meanwhile, the Dreame's interior is being designed to be completely original, although it will include familiar components such as an angular steering wheel with two wide spokes and a large display. The electric car will feature a massive central tunnel with touch-sensitive buttons and bucket seats.
No technical details are yet available. It's possible they will be revealed soon: Dreame has promised to show a prototype of its electric car at the Consumer Electronics Show (CES) in the United States. It is also known that it is planned to be released in Europe, and Dreame is currently actively searching for a production site near Berlin.
