A woman tried to kidnap a 4-year-old child at the Miami airport (4 photos)
On Tuesday, September 2, an incident occurred at Miami International Airport, USA. A woman took a crying boy from his mother and refused to give him back.
At about four in the morning, Nadine Joseph and her four-year-old son were standing in line at the security checkpoint. Alvina Omisri Agba, 23, from Luton, England, noticed the crying child and offered to help the mother calm him down. Nadine agreed. The stranger picked up the boy and tried to escape.
The mother demanded that Agba give her son back, to which the 23-year-old replied, "No, he's my child." She wrapped her arms and legs around the boy so that he couldn't run away.
The boy screamed and caught the attention of Natilet Montano, a check-in counter worker for Global Crossing Airlines. She managed to free the child and hide him behind the counter.
"When my colleague brought the boy in, we immediately called 911," said GlobalX Air CEO Dayanis Ojeda.
Agba tried to escape, but was arrested. When the police read her rights, the girl explained that she took the child to the wall with the rainbow, hoping to calm him down. She claimed that she did not remember anything, but that she did so at the behest of God.
No drugs or alcohol were found in the detainee's blood.
Agba is charged with kidnapping and assault. She is currently being held at the Turner Guilford Correctional Center.
The boy suffered deep scratches, but was returned home safely with his mother.
