Auchan stores all over Poland started selling unique Hot Wheels models. Buyers, not knowing what kind of car was inside, snatched the boxes from each other's hands. Some, wanting to get their hands on the collectibles, even banged the carts against each other to eliminate competitors.
It is noteworthy that the cars were inexpensive. Prices ranged from 12 to 40 zlotys, depending on the series.
