Disgusting incident: in Turkey, a foreign tourist may go to jail for dancing on a flagpole (2 photos + 1 video)
The girl, whose name and country of origin are not disclosed by the media, found nothing better to demonstrate her dancing talents than a flagpole with the national flag. 
A criminal case has been opened in Turkey against a foreign tourist who danced on a flagpole with the national flag in one of the popular tourist destinations of Cappadocia, the city of Uchisar. The incident was captured on video, which quickly spread on social networks.
The Turkish prosecutor's office classified the girl's actions as insulting the national flag and humiliating the nation under Articles 300 and 301 of the country's Criminal Code. For this, she faces a sentence of up to three and two years in prison, respectively. 
In an official statement, the Nevsehir district administration emphasized that they consider this incident as an act of disrespect for the national and spiritual values of the Turkish people. The name and citizenship of the offender have not been disclosed, and it is also unknown whether she was detained or left Turkey.
This case became another example of the strict attitude of the Turkish authorities to the protection of state symbols and national honor, reminding us of the need for respectful behavior of tourists in the country.
