A collection of cars from famous films will be sold in the USA (8 photos)
Kraft Auctions will hold a sale of the Rodz and Bodz Museum collection in Colorado this weekend. The museum's exposition balances on the edge of the automotive industry and cinema, and in addition to various artifacts and souvenirs, includes several dozen cars. For the most part, these are replicas of cars from famous films, but the collection also includes originals.
For example, several copies of cars that can be seen in the TV series "Stranger Things" will go under the hammer, with the starting price in each case being only $1,800. The Ford Explorer SUV, stylized as one of the cars from "Jurassic Park", was valued more expensive - at least $4,750. The Ford Gran Torino from Starsky & Hutch has a similar base price, while the Cadillac Fleetwood from Ghostbusters is $250 cheaper.
The selection also includes replicas of varying degrees of authenticity of cars that starred in the first Fast & Furious. For example, Dominic Toretto's Dodge Charger, Brian O'Connor's Mitsubishi Eclipse, and Jesse's Volkswagen Jetta. In this case, the starting price is between $4,500 and $11,000.
The sale will feature memorable artifacts including various vintage signs, gas stations, children's pedal and electric cars (including those stylized as Batmobiles), and the like. The sale was organized due to a move: the building where Rodz and Bodz is currently located is to be rebuilt, and the company is looking for a new site, for which it needs additional funds.
