Viking-style Gelendvagen with weapons included (14 photos)
Polish studio Carlex Design presented a seriously redesigned Mercedes-AMG G 63 called G-Viking. A unique feature of the car is the Scandinavian-style ornament engraved on the roof. In addition, the SUV comes with four hunting rifles from elite gunsmiths VO Vapen, developed specifically for this project. The creators will announce the price of the set only to an interested buyer and have already promised that the G-Viking will remain the only one of its kind. 
The entire roof of the SUV is covered with hand-made engraving. How much time the craftsmen spent on applying the ornament is not specified this time. However, in 2024, Carlex Design showed a G-Falcon project decorated in a similar way, and it was reported then that the engraving took several years.
The sides of the Gelendvagen and some interior details are decorated with inserts with a pattern in the same style, for example, the zero mark on the steering wheel is made of engraved metal. The car is equipped with a custom body kit with new bumpers and original wheel rims. Judging by their design, they were borrowed from another major Carlex project called G-Vintage.
The interior of the Gelendvagen is re-upholstered with exclusive leather, which was processed and patinated by hand specifically for the G-Viking. The original inserts on the seats and the central tunnel are made of seal skin, which should be another reference to northern cultural features. The SUV has lost about half of its trunk. The boxes for hunting rifles are formed here, which also contain tools for their care.
Each of the rifles received a unique finish, partly made of gold, and its own name. Three were named after the gods Odin, Thor and Loki, the name of the fourth - Midvinterblot - ("Midwinter Sacrifice") refers to the painting by the artist Carl Larsson from the National Museum of Stockholm, which depicts the ancient legend of King Domald. It is considered one of the most controversial paintings in Sweden.
