10 exhaust pipes and rivets: Gelendvagen stylized as a vintage fighter (6 photos)
Tuning studio Carlex Design presented another modified Mercedes-AMG G-Class from the G-Vintage line, within the framework of which the appearance of SUVs is complemented with retro motifs. This example turned out to be special, as the source of inspiration for its styling was the famous P-51 Mustang fighter.
The SUV received its own name Emerald Racer. This is a partial reference to the body design, which combines a special shade of green, as well as silver and white colors. The aero theme is symbolized by the abundance of rivets installed on the roof and doors, and ten exhaust pipes, five on each side near the rear doors. They are supposed to hint at the exhaust of an airplane engine. Finally, the ventilation deflectors in the cabin are designed in the style of the nose of a flying "Mustang".
Among other modifications - a new body kit with an extension of 80 millimeters, an increase in ground clearance by 100 millimeters and vintage wheels. The interior is also finished in a retro style using brown leather and Alcantara in the color of the body, and the floor of the cargo compartment is lined with natural wood.
In the future, Carlex will release two more similar Gelendvagens, which will be called Shadow Comet and Crimson Phantom and will differ in original color schemes. The cost of the SUVs is not specified.
