Chinese woman almost choked trying to save money on a dentist
A 24-year-old woman from China, surnamed Wu, who needed an orthodontic retainer, decided to save time and money. Instead of visiting a doctor, she ordered a cheap dental impression kit online. However, the girl mixed up the components and mistakenly used construction plaster instead of a special paste.
The plaster instantly hardened in her mouth, completely “sealing” her jaws. The girl could not pull it out on her own and almost suffocated, after which she was urgently taken to the hospital. It took doctors an hour to carefully remove the hardened material, which could seriously damage teeth and tissue.
Although online kits cost mere pennies, saving on dental procedures can lead to very sad consequences. Experts strongly advise: trust only professionals with everything related to dental health!
