Even the patrol cars got it.
A two-ton young handsome man accidentally crawled into the suburb of Gordon Bay near Cape Town. Local residents did not expect such a guest and quickly called the police to calm down the curious animal.
The police and a local security company tried to restrain the lively little boy by parking patrol cars around him. He took the cars in a friendly manner, hugged the hood of one car and half-climbed over another, and then simply crawled across the road and continued on the sidewalk.
Eventually, the uninvited guest stopped near a shopping center. Animal protection officers were worried that he was too far from the ocean. They had to pour water on him and inject him with sedatives.
The operation to detain the unusual troublemaker lasted almost 9 hours, but everything ended well. The elephant was returned to its natural habitat in a nearby bay.
