A man who was married to three women at the same time was arrested in the USA (6 photos)

A wedding symbolizes the union of two people ready to spend their lives together. But Henry Betsey Jr. had other plans. A Florida resident entered into three marriages in different counties of the state. Now the polygamist faces imprisonment.





Deceived women blame the system.

Michelle Betsey complained: “He took each of us to different counties to get married. If the agencies had coordinated, I would not have suffered mental pain and lost money.”

"I met him on Match.com. We met in early November," Michelle says.

After a brief courtship, she says, they married at the county courthouse.

"Our relationship moved quickly. We were married within three weeks."



Michelle married Henry in Hernando County on November 23, 2022

At the time, he was still married to Brandi Betsy. He married her on February 22, 2022, at the Manatee County Courthouse.

"I met him on a dating app. First time I signed up. He was very straight talker," Brandi shared.

When Brandi married Henry, he was already married to Tonya Betsey.

Tonya met Henry on Tinder.

"We met on a dating app. He seemed like the perfect person, but he wasn't," the first wife said.

They applied for a marriage license in Gadsden County in November 2020.



Henry was charged with bigamy in Hernando County last year

Henry was arrested for bigamy at his Seminole County home last year after Tonya caught her husband cheating on her.

"I started looking for him by county. I typed in his name, and then I saw two marriages: to Michelle and to Brandi," Tonya said.

"She texted me, even though I had no idea she was still married to him," Michelle added.

Michelle contacted authorities in Hernando County, where she was married, and detectives began investigating.



Michelle learned of her husband's other marriages in 2024

"We've never seen an allegation like this before," the judge said during the first hearing.

The women say marrying Henry was easy.

Michelle says, "You go to the records office, apply for a marriage license. They take your information and make a copy of your photo ID."

Brandy adds, "We got married right there in the courthouse, no questions asked. There was no record of his previous marriage licenses in the system."

She continues: "I got it all done in 15 minutes and got married."

Florida is an easy place to get married, and weddings often take place on picturesque beaches and at resorts like Walt Disney World.



Women find Henry's new profile on dating site

Recently, women found Henry's profile on another dating site. "Looking for a beautiful woman who understands ups and downs, is trustworthy, and doesn't play games," the polygamist's profile on Bumble reads.

The cheated wives came to the conclusion that Henry was using them for financial gain.

"We all went through divorces before we met him. We payments, child support. He was looking for an advantage. Anything that had to do with the added benefits of being married to a newly divorced woman."

"On our wedding day, he said, 'We need to combine our bank accounts,'" Brandi recalls.

Henry is clearly struggling financially. At his last court hearing, he told the judge he had no income and no money in the bank. After his arrest, he filed for divorce from Tonya and is now seeking annulments of his marriages to Michelle and Brandi.

Henry's wives want him convicted and sent to prison.

Michelle laments, "He's probably going to get probation. It's not fair. He's not going to be held accountable and he's going to do it all over again."

Henry has pleaded not guilty and faces another hearing later this month.
