Gelendvagen turned into an 820-horsepower convertible (19 photos)

The Mansory studio, known for its unconventional approach to design, has presented another creation based on the Mercedes-AMG G 63. The SUV, built in a single copy, was called Speranza. The project implies a noticeable increase in engine output and a deeply redesigned body.





The main external change is the rejection of the hard roof. It was replaced with a multi-layer fabric top with an electric drive. It is especially noted that the conversion required numerous hidden modifications to the body to maintain the required rigidity both on asphalt and off-road. In addition, the Speranza was equipped with a massive Grand Entree body kit, which includes not only bumpers and wheel arch extensions with air ducts, but also a new version of the radiator grille, as well as lighting devices on the upper edge of the windshield. The convertible is equipped with 24-inch wheels.

The interior of the demo model is decorated in red and white shades - to match the color combination of the body and fabric top. Among the serious modifications, in addition to leather and carbon trim, are individual seats in the back row and a new steering wheel with frankly sporty outlines.

The volume of the 8-cylinder engine remained standard and is 4 liters. At the same time, the unit was equipped with larger turbochargers, an alternative control unit and a custom exhaust tract. The engine output has increased from 585 to 820 horsepower, the amount of traction realized reaches 1150 Nm. Speranza is capable of exchanging the first hundred in 4 seconds. The maximum speed is 250 km/h. No information is available on the chassis modifications.

A similar project was recently declassified by the Brabus studio. In its version, the Gelendvagen became 800 horsepower, but is inferior to the Speranza from Mansory in acceleration to a hundred by 0.6 seconds, since it received a suspension seriously prepared for off-road conditions.
