Western Australian Liesl Beneke has collected more than 1,035 minions — characters from the cartoon "Despicable Me" — from all over the world since 2010, and still can't stop. Her house is literally "teeming" with minions in different incarnations, and the "obsessed" woman herself is jokingly called "Lady Minion," as reported on the Guinness Book of Records website.

Liesl began collecting her unique collection of minions in different incarnations about 15 years ago. It all started when she decided to take her daughters to see the movie Despicable Me, which was just being shown in Australian cinemas in 2010.

As a result, the Australian woman had a lot of fun and was amazed by the mischievous cartoon characters who commit many antics. She admitted to the Guinness Book of Records that since then she has been looking for minions everywhere she goes.

"I'm just a big kid at heart. Since then, I've always been looking for minions wherever I go," Liesl said.

The home of the devoted fan of fairy tale characters has turned into a real kingdom of minions. They can be seen literally everywhere, even in the kitchen.

The woman also has a tattoo on her body, which is also associated with the characters of the animated series "Despicable Me". On her arm there is an image of a minion.

Colleagues also know about Liesl's unusual hobby, because even at her workplace, in the office, the woman placed objects with images of minions. For this, she was jokingly nicknamed "Lady Minion".

Liesl Beneke's efforts were highly praised by the representatives of the "Guinness Book of Records". They counted her collection of minions and determined that the Australian holds an honorable place among world records as the owner of the largest number of souvenirs with characters from the cartoon "Despicable Me". Liesl's collection contains about 1035 minions.

The Australian woman doesn't plan to stop there: she assured that she will continue to buy Minion figures, despite the fact that people think she's weird.

"I will never stop buying Minions to bring home to join my Minion family," Liesl said.
