The saying "What was picked up quickly is not considered fallen" is familiar to many. We are talking about the so-called "five-second rule", which states that it is safe to eat food that has fallen on the floor. A microbiologist decided to check how well this rule works.

A microbiologist from Chicago decided to scientifically prove whether it is safe to eat food that has fallen on the floor.

The scientist sent the food to a cultivator after 5, 10, 30 and 60 seconds of lying on the floor. It turned out that any time is equally dangerous to health.

Microorganisms multiplied quickly in both the samples after 5 seconds and after 1 minute.
