Marie Pearl Zellmer Robinson has become the owner of the title of "woman with the largest mouth in the world", surpassing the previous record holder by almost a centimeter. The unique physiological feature that has accompanied the American woman her entire life has finally brought her worldwide recognition.
The official website of the Guinness Book of Records announced the registration of a new world achievement in a category that causes both surprise and admiration.
Mary Pearl Zellmer Robinson from the United States has been recognized as the woman with the largest mouth on the planet, able to open her jaws 7.59 centimeters. The American knew from early childhood that her mouth was different from others - when opening her jaws, there was a large gap between the upper and lower rows of teeth.
"I always realized that my mouth was much larger than average. I am an extremely talkative person, so you might think that it was just a metaphor, but in my case, my mouth is physically large. However, we never attached much importance to it," Marie shared.
Being one of seven children in the family, the record holder remembers how she often entertained her brothers and sisters by demonstrating her incredible abilities - she could easily fit whole oranges or even light bulbs in her mouth.
The recognition came to Marie after a thorough examination by local dentists. Specialists provided the Guinness Book of Records with irrefutable evidence of her uniqueness. With a result of 7.59 cm, Robinson significantly surpassed her competitor - Samantha Ramsdell, whose result was 6.52 cm.
"I have never worn braces or undergone any dental procedures that could artificially increase the size of my mouth," the title holder assured.
