In the US, an elementary school janitor has been sentenced to eight years in prison. Giovanni Impellizzeri, 27, admitted to intentionally spoiling students' food with feces and bodily fluids. The Satanist claims he was following the devil's orders.
The janitor entered into a plea bargain. As a result, additional charges against him, such as aggravated assault and endangering the welfare of a child, were dropped.
The Cumberland County Prosecutor's Office said in a press release that Impellizzeri must serve five years before he is eligible for parole.
A man was arrested after police received footage of him engaging in indecent acts with objects at a New Jersey school.
His phone records showed just how far his depraved ways had gone.
"He states, 'To be honest, I've put bleach in their food before. The kids were fine, just a little sick. Oh well, it's not my problem. They had tacos one time and I put a little bit of... poop in and no one noticed. They ate every last bit,'" Assistant District Attorney Lindsey Seidel said.
"The defendant also said, 'I'm sick as hell. I admit it.'"
Impellizzeri reportedly covered the cafeteria utensils with his saliva, urine, and feces. He also spat on bread and wiped his genitals with it.
The Satanist filmed and documented his actions.
"He took bleach and sprayed it on cucumbers and then spat. Then he looked at the camera and said, 'Oh, these smell like bleach, man. School kids are gonna freak out about this shit. "They're going to be in a really bad way, man," Seidel added.
In court, the janitor apologized to his victims: "I'm so ashamed of my actions. I wish I could go back and not do those things, but they're in the past. I know I have to take responsibility."
His attorney, Emily Bell, said her client "isn't a bad person," but "did a bad thing."
Further investigation revealed that Impellizzeri also had child abuse material.
