An unusual homemade product based on the classic 1968 Volkswagen Beetle, which resembles a tank, has been put up for sale in the USA. The car has a modified body, a themed paint job, tracks instead of rear wheels, and dummy heavy weapons. The seller is asking $25,000. For about the same amount, you can buy a regular Beetle of the same period in good condition.
The so-called VW Battle Bug was built to order in a single copy. At the front, it received a more powerful bumper with a winch and redesigned lighting, but overall it remained recognizable. At the same time, the rear of the body had to be significantly expanded to fit the tracks. How exactly they were installed and how this affected the driving characteristics is not specified, but it is stated that the car is on the move.
