Users were warned that the Blood Moon would be visible above the Earth, although not in all regions. It is brightest in the USA, Venezuela, Canada and Turkey. How does it appear? It all happens during an eclipse, when the full Moon passes entirely through the center of the Earth's shadow. It becomes "bloody" due to the refraction of sunlight in the Earth's atmosphere.
