The unnamed man from Xianyang City always loved to pick his nose. Whether he was standing, sitting, or lying in bed, he would always probe his nostrils with his finger. One day, while picking his nose as usual, the man caused a serious nosebleed that simply would not stop, despite all the efforts of him and his wife.





The couple eventually went to the hospital, where doctors diagnosed a ruptured artery and prepared him for emergency surgery to repair the damage. The man's wife filmed the entire hospital experience, including her snide question as he was coming to after surgery: "Anyone, why aren't you picking your nose? Get up and pick it again."



Medical experts warn that picking your nose poses a serious risk of infection, but when it becomes a habit, it can cause even more problems, such as damaging the lining of your nose, and in extreme cases like the one above, damaging blood vessels or tissue in your nasal cavity, or even rupturing an artery.
