A man noticed a box under a truck and prevented a tragedy (11 photos)

Three tiny kittens were almost killed by a car, but an attentive man saved them — and as a result, the babies found a new home.





A Canadian man became a hero after he noticed a box stuck under a truck in time and found three tiny kittens inside.

A woman says her husband flagged down a driver leaving Burnaby, British Columbia, after seeing the box under his car. When they pulled it out, they found three kittens inside.



The man immediately called his wife and explained the situation. The truck driver, a woman who was driving, was shocked, as she did not even know about the box.

The couple decided to temporarily take the kittens to their home and took them to the vet, who confirmed that the babies were healthy. However, the doctor recommended leaving them at home for at least a month until they grew a little.





In the end, the family decided to keep two kittens - a Siamese cat and a black shorthaired cat, naming them Coco and Toby. And the third, a long-haired black kitten, they gave to a friend.



The hero's wife admitted that she had long dreamed of getting a cat, but was afraid of how their pit bull named Turtle would react to it. However, their fears turned out to be in vain - the pet accepted the babies from the first days and quickly took on the role of their protector.

"He became a dad for them so quickly - it's just crazy," she wrote.



The story instantly spread across Reddit, collecting many likes and comments. Users actively expressed gratitude to the man, calling him the hero of the day.

"Your husband was the miracle these kittens needed," one of the commentators wrote.





Some also recalled the advice of driving instructors, who recommend never driving over boxes on the road, as they may contain animals.
