The footage shows large landslides that have reached the outskirts of the city, where buildings are gradually falling.
The city is home to over 55,000 people, and the sinkholes in the ground threaten 1,200 residents. "Over the past few months, the size of the sinkholes has increased exponentially," city authorities reported.
Residents have been observing land collapses near the city for several decades, but now the natural disaster has reached residential buildings. Rains wash away sandy soils, which also collapse due to construction work and deforestation.
