According to the plot, Furiosa lives in the Green Land of a Thousand Mothers, a unique fertile region in the middle of the desert. One day, the girl is kidnapped by a horde of bikers led by Chief Dementus (Chris Hemsworth).

1. George Miller wrote the scripts for Fury Road and Furiosa at the same time and planned to film them one after the other. However, he later abandoned the idea and focused on the first film. And "Furiosa" almost became an animated film performed by Japanese animator Mahiro Maeda (remember "The Animatrix"?)

2. Chris Hemsworth admitted that he modeled Dementus' voice from three elements: a fairground barker, a seagull, and his own grandfather's voice.

3. As young Furiosa grew older, more and more features of Anya Taylor-Joy were "mixed" into the face of Alila Browne (who worked with George Miller on his other film, "Three Thousand Years of Desire") using computer graphics. At the beginning of the film ~35%, in the last frames in the Citadel ~80%.

4. The scar on Praetorian Jack's face actually hides a barely noticeable scar from a cleft lip operation on Tom Burke, who played the role. Apparently, they thought it was cheaper than computer-generated special effects.

5. Lachy Hume played two roles at once: Rhysdale Pell and Immortan Joe (Hugh Keays-Byrne, who played him in Fury Road, died in 2020 at the age of 73). Moreover, the viewer hears Hume's voice and sees his eyes - the actor managed to perfectly match Kiyas-Byrne.

6. The 15-minute scene of the Octobo's gang ambush against the battle truck (during which Furiosa and Praetorian Jack first meet) took 78 days to film, involving more than 200 stuntmen (many of whom were ex-convicts). The crew nicknamed this scene "No Ticket to Nowhere".

6.1. Despite the difficulty of filming, this scene is Anya Taylor-Joy's favorite.

7. Praetorian Jack mentions that he once served law and order before the disaster. Not in Main Force Patrol from the first Mad Max? How to ask George Miller this question? :)

8. Furiosa has about 20,000 computer special effects - 10 times more than Fury Road.

9. This is the longest film in the Mad Max franchise (2 hours 28 minutes).

10. Dementus' teddy bear is an echo (concept art) of the failed animated film based on "Furiosa" (see p.1). But the outstanding false nose of this character is an idea of Chris Hemsworth.

11. By the way: how is the title Praetorian different from Imperator and why did Furiosa "upgrade" herself in "Fury Road"? Is this the reward for Dementus' head?

12. Anya Taylor-Joy performed many of her own stunts. George Miller recalled that he sometimes got confused - where in the frame the actress herself was, and where the stunt doubles were.

13. Who is this Hungry Eyes, who guards young Furiosa in the tent? This is Tim Burns, who played Little Johnny in the very first series of the franchise.

14. Young Furiosa and Max Rockatansky Mad Max use the same whistles ("sea whistle"). The first - to warn the inhabitants of the Green Earth about the invasion from the Wasteland, the second - to stun the Master Blaster in the third part of the franchise.

15. Spanish actress Elsa Pataky (who is also Chris Hemsworth's wife) played two cameo roles in the film: one of the Vuvalini leaders (she hands Mary Jabassa a sniper rifle to chase bikers) and Mr. Norton (in the photo below).

16. Have you noticed that in Fury Road the mechanics are mostly "freelancers" and not "half-life warriors"? This is a consequence of the 40-day war in the wasteland, which bled dry their population (and skill level, of course).

17. The dunes through which Mary Jobassa pursues Furiosa's kidnappers are entirely computer-generated.

18. At the end of its premiere at the Cannes Film Festival on May 15, 2024, the film received a seven-minute standing ovation from the audience.

19. Fury Road takes place over 36 hours, Furiosa over 15 years.

20. Goran D'Klue (Octoboss) recalled that during the auditions, George Miller would challenge all candidates to surprise him by performing the famous "Mad as Hell" monologue from the film Network (1976).

21. Nathan Jones (Rictus Erectus) announced on his social networks that George Miller is planning to release a director's cut of "Furiosa".

22. Budget - $168 million, box office receipts - $174 million. This is the most expensive film in the history of Australian cinema.

22.1. The Australian government compensated 40% of the film's budget, believing that the country would earn much more on it.
