The Gervasutti bivouac is a relatively comfortable overnight stay for brave mountaineers, located at an altitude of 2833 meters on a rocky island in the middle of the Frebuz glacier. Thanks to solar panels, there is lighting and an electric stove for cooking.

The Gervasutti bivouac is a capsule technological hut for mountaineers, which is located on the very edge of a high cliff in the Italian Alps. Inside there are beds for 12 people, a kitchen and even electricity from solar panels, and anyone can stay there - nothing to book and no need to pay anyone.

The refuge was named after the famous Italian mountaineer Giusto Gervasutti, who died in 1946 while climbing Mont Blanc du Tacul. The refuge acquired its current futuristic appearance in 2011, thanks to a reconstruction designed by architects Luca Gentilcore and Stefano Testa. Each section was brought in and assembled using helicopters.
