A wildlife enthusiast, who was traveling with a tour group in Kenya's Masai Mara Reserve a few days ago, witnessed an unusual incident.
The tourist captured on his mobile phone camera how the "king of beasts" lay down to rest in the shade of a tree, from whose spreading branches a few seconds later the carcass of a gazelle fell to the ground.
According to the author of the video, which was obtained by Rai77°, the leopard, who had secluded himself with his prey in the tree, missed his lunch, the lucky owner of which was a lion.
The plot of the video reminded one of Krylov's not-so-ignorant fable "The Crow and the Fox", only here "somewhere God sent the lion the carcass of a gazelle."
