A practically new 2001 Mercedes-Benz SL600 was put up for sale (43 photos)

The car was first registered only in 2021, and its odometer shows only 1,000 miles.





At one of the American online auctions, bidding is underway for an interesting example of the SL model from Mercedes-Benz. This SL600 with the factory index R129 attracts attention for several reasons.

Firstly, the two-door open-top has run only 1,090 miles, or just under 1.8 thousand kilometers, since 2001, which makes it practically new. Secondly, the car spent 20 years in the collection of the American Mercedes-Benz representative office and was not even registered. The first registration of the SL600 dates back to March 2021 after being sold through the Mercedes-Benz Classic Center for $135,000.

The car is said to be in exceptional condition, the body is additionally covered with a protective film, and shortly before the sale, the SL600 underwent service, during which not only consumables and technical fluids were replaced, but also the hydraulic cylinders of the convertible top system. By the way, the two-door has two roofs: hard and soft.

The SL600 is powered by a 6.0-liter V12 with a capacity of 394 hp and 570 Nm, aggregated with a 5-speed automatic transmission.
