Heavy luxury was shown in China - executive cars with a price tag of about 1 million dollars (3 photos + 1 video)
China's answer to global luxury is the Hongqi L5, a limousine for the elite priced at nearly $1 million. This hand-built car combines a wood and leather interior with an imposing exterior reminiscent of a Volga with German and English styling elements.
At a recent show, the manufacturer presented a concept car inspired by the L5. Among the features are gull-wing doors, diamond headlights and a folding steering wheel. A new level of luxury that seems to be made for conquering the roads.
Also unveiled was the Hongqi L1 with a V12 engine, offering something like a Chinese Maybach.
Alas, the limited edition and $800,000 price tag make it affordable for only a few.
