Teun de Vries and Jaap Koevets used a ladder for their window cleaning business in the small village of Noordwijk in Holland, and carried it around on their bicycles.

The girl who represented our country was born in Yessentuki in 1911. Her father was a high-ranking official. During the revolution, he died and the girl, fleeing from the Bolsheviks, rushed to Europe. And in 1930, she took part in an international competition, where the winner was a girl from Greece, Alika Diplarakou.
Now the competitions have become completely different, and the standards of beauty have changed a lot.
