Bulgarian fishermen managed to catch a 120-kilogram catfish
Two fishermen spent two hours trying to pull a giant catfish out of the water.
Mario Hristov and Mario Spasov came to fish at the dam in the city of Dupnitsa. Hristov said that while his partner was fishing at a depth of 37 meters, he managed to catch a seven-kilogram catfish. Suddenly, Spasov noticed with the help of a sonar that some huge creature was approaching them. It caught the man's fishing rod and began to pull it to the bottom with incredible force.
According to Hristov, after 20 minutes Spasov's hands began to shake and he took over. "It was too hard to fight alone," the men explained. Together, they eventually managed to pull out the huge fish. It turned out to be a catfish 2.73 meters long and weighing 120 kilograms.
