Tehachapi loop
The Tehachapi Loop is a 1.17-kilometer (0.77 mi) spiral track on the Union Pacific Railroad through Tehachapi Pass, in the Tehachapi Mountains of Kern County, California. The track has a constant 2% grade, with an elevation gain of 23 meters (75 ft) over the loop. Any train longer than 1,200 meters (4,900 ft) passes over itself.
