Ilya Belikov, a serviceman of the 9th separate motorized rifle brigade of the Russian Armed Forces, signed a contract because of a quarrel with his wife. According to him, his wife dared him, and in a fit of emotion he made a hasty decision to go to the front. Now Belikov openly admits that he regrets his choice: they were dropped off on one of the Dnieper islands in the Kherson region without communication, but he was lucky enough to be captured, Censor.NET reports.
"We were abandoned on this island like mice, like rats dying. They said that if we return, we will personally destroy you with drones," the prisoner said about the attitude of the Russian command.
